The Bentley Group approached FOLKE ARMY in creating the branding for their new restaurant concept. Ria PIZZA + WINE is new direction for the group as they have always played in the high end of dinning, By bringing their highly respected and awarded pedigree to pizza + wine it needed to stand out and not look like just another pizza joint.
We chose to stay away from using the expected pizza slice in the logo, The name says it all so we didn’t feel we needed to spell it out with pizza. However with the groups extensive wine knowledge and offering we wanted to focus on wine bottles as the logo so so that its more than just pizza and let the customers know its a wine bar also. A playful pattern was created for the grease proof paper.
We had a tight time line & restrictions which gave us no possibility of having time to apply for DA. With not a large amount frontage to use for signage we chose to suspend a sign inside the bi fold doors to show the logo in neon lights.
